Wellbeing Retreat Overview

This is a chance to take time out of your normal life, be fed with three healthy plant-based whole food macrobiotic meals a day, to rest and enjoy space in the peaceful Murtwell House and its beautiful countryside surroundings. Take walks, sleep, meditate, or whatever nourishes you deeply. This is a time to recuperate, nourish yourself well, reflect on your life and build your energy reserves.

There will be ample wood for log fires for some cosy evenings, you can make teas at any time, there is a library of macro and health books, and drink and bathe in the pure spring water that supplies the house!

The feedback from the last Wellbeing Week was that the participants enjoyed having lots of space to rest, walk, read and do their own thing. We will be offering a few activities during the week for those who want to attend, including a group cooking class preparing a meal, 1 or 2 Do-in exercise sessions, and there is the possibility of doing some gardening work if you would like to.

This is also a great opportunity to learn more about the macrobiotic approach to health and healing, and enjoy some tasty dishes and meals. Oliver and staff will be available to answer many of your questions.

What you’ll get

Meals

Three meals will be cooked for you each day from Monday breakfast to Saturday breakfast. There will be a variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch will be a smaller simpler meal, and supper will be the main meal of the day. Practically all the food will be organic and of the highest quality.

Optional Extras

If you would like any other activities please let us know and if at least a few people want something we may be able to offer it to you.

Arriving from 6pm for supper on Monday April 28th.

Departing Monday May 5th after breakfast.

Accommodation

Everyone gets their own bedroom. There are three in the house, and three in the barn.

Available rooms are listed under the 'Select a room' dropdown list at the top of this page. Please choose your preferred room and add it to your basket to secure your place.

This event is limited to a small number of places, so early booking is recommended.
