Wakame Salad
Wakame is a highly nutritious and edible seaweed. Discover how to transform it into a delicious salad.

Ingredients
- Red grapes (16) – quartered
- Cucumber (1/4) – thinly sliced
- Wakame (4 inch strip) – soaked & cut into small pieces
- Orange (1) – juiced
- Herb salt (or bouillon) (1/2 tsp)
Method
Rinse the wakame and then soak in water for at least 10 minutes.
Prepare the grapes and cucumber. Add into a bowl. Chop the wakame into small pieces (using either a knife or scissors). Add to the bowl. Add the orange juice and herb salt. Mix well and serve.
What could go wrong?
Not soaking the wakame long enough so it’s tough and chewy. Not seasoning it well enough so it tastes too sea like (which you may not like full stop!).
Alternatives
Use grated apple instead of the grapes.
Cook once, eat thrice
Add in some fresh cucumber when serving this again.
Strain off the liquid, remove the grapes and use it in a stir fry.
